Summary: | Dundalk Quay. Dundalk has a long seafaring history although once described as a 'poor creek'. A daily passenger service to Liverpool was introduced in 1826 when ships departed from Soldier's Point. After the building of Navvy Bank, ships left from the present quay but B&I company discontinued their service in 1968 and there was no passenger service since. Many improvements have been carried out to the quay in the past year. |
