| Summary: | Photographing the gaol was not encouraged but in rcent years it ceased to be used and this photograph was taken with impunity from inside the bars of the railings around the Mall. The gaol was purchased by a prominent ulster businessman in 1987 but has only been used since then one or two occassions as a film set. Armachians await with interest to see what will happen to what someone described as the finest building in Armagh |
