Summary: | A pair of warehouses built in the late 1860s. Their neglect during the past twenty years has been one of the main concerns of the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society and other Amenity groups. Lytle's Warehouse enjoys a fantastic collection of standing birds, cape mouldings and granite heads carved into its facade, with a chinaman's head over a carriageway entrance. McCansland's warehouse is more restrained in its detailing but is well known for the five carved figures on its ground floor peirs. Representing the five covenants. These warehouses are amongst the finest buidings in Northern Ireland. |
