Have upcycled this Kerry photo to a higher res so ye can actually see what's going on! Nicest thing is that this revealed a great sign saying "To Henry Gaze & Sons Tourist Office"...
Photographer: Almost certainly Robert French of Lawrence Photographic Studios, Dublin
Date: Circa 1900??

Great town, lots to see with the Lakes of Killarney just down the street. Lots of entertainment
and many, many nice stores to shop in. We have always like it there and have stayed in a
hotel just down the street sitting on the edge of the Lake.

This could be a small town in Texas at that time as well!

I noted a tall lamp post which looks like an electric light. Very early for electric lights? No!

In nearby Coolclogher in 1901, we can observe a Mill, a Mr. Leahy, and two Electrical Engineers.

@gnmcauley Had a good zoom in on it and it certainly is a very impressive lamp post, especially around the base which looks very ornate...

This photo is rather interesting in comparison to how College Street in Killarney looks nowadays. I wish more photos like this existed in the world.

Google suggests Henry Gaze and Sons were an English tourist agency with offices in New York, London, Rome and apparently, Killarney. Aha!
The tourist business was continued by his two elder sons, but ended in bankruptcy in 1903.
