Summary: | William Grattan Tyrone Power, (1795-1841), actor, was known professionally as Tyrone Power. He was the great-grandfather of actor Tyrone Power (1914-1958). He was lost at sea in March 1841, when the SS 'President' disappeared in the North Atlantic. Half-length, seated, directed slightly to left, facing, arms crossed on bench over a document with the heading 'Hay Market Theatre'. With facsimilie of his autograph present and printed below image: 'Designed for & presented gratis with no. 124 of "The Fly"'. |
