Travel the easy way :

I have had a really wonderful journey, just like sitting in an arm chair at home and in future I will always travel by Aer Lingus.

Summary:Souvenir bookmark from the late 1940's (circa 1948), given away free to passengers on an Aer Lingus flight. On recto, at top of bookmark: Black and white image of a woman seated in an airplane, shown reading a large green coloured bound book. Underneath in black font is written “Travel the EASY WAY”. Lower half of the bookmark features the same woman descending from the Aer Lingus airplane, holding the green book in her right hand. She addresses the Aer Lingus airhostess who stands to the right of the stairway: “I have had a really wonderful journey, just like sitting in an arm chair at home and in future I will always travel by Aer Lingus”. At bottom of bookmark, (white font on black background) are the words “AER LINGUS”. Underneath this is the Aer Lingus logo (of a shamrock within a circle, with a pair of wings) and the words “IRISH AIR LINES”. On verso is an advertisement for the Ken Library, 26-28 Clare Street, Dublin. At top of bookmark, is a black and white image of two cherubs, flying through the air, holding green coloured bound books. In black font is written, “It is always a pleasure to handle a Ken Library Service book”. At bottom (white font on green background) “KEN LIBRARY, (in black font) 26-28 Clare Street, DUBLIN”.
