Summary: | Text printed on verso reads: 'Walker & Co.'s 1/16 Ticket / Irish lottery for the year 1795. / The Bearer will be entitled to the Proportion of such beneficial Chance / as shall belong to the Ticket numbered as above according to the SCHEME / Printed on the back hereof in the above mentioned Lottery to be drawn in IRELAND / which TICKET has been deposited with the Officer appointed for stamping and marking Shares and Chances of Lottery Tickets / Check 480 / 105 Grafton Street Dublin'. Inscribed in ink on verso (above 'Walker and Co.'s Sixteenth Ticket drawing begins Nov. 13, 1795') : 'Mrs. Mary Gaynor Dun Lyng' (Dun Laoghaire); ticket is embossed on verso with the seal of the Irish State Lottery (bearing the words 'Irish State Lottery' encircling an Irish harp surmounted by the English crown); prize winnings detailed on verso of ticket. Inscribed in ink on recto, at top of ticket, '2 in 688' and (underneath body of text), '480' and 'Walker & Disraell'. |
