A "value"-able friend
Landlord to Official Valuer, who is estimating the rent of Pat Murtagh's Farm - "My dear young friend, I am so glad you have been sent down to my part of the country ; your father and I were old chums. He always said that my land was set far below its value, and that it is the finest in the country. I'm sure you don't think I would extort a rack rent from a tenant.".
