First lines read: " 'We cannot, under the British constitution, ASK for MORE than the restitution of Grattan's Parliament. But no man has the right to fix the boundary to the march of a nation'. Charles Stuart Parnell at Cork, 21-1-1885." Note on verso on one side: "In comparing the progress of Ireland before and after the Union, we must remember that the American war was one great cause of the depression of trade before the year 1800. On the other hand, an even greater cause after 1800, was the war with France".
