This book was destroyed with the Record Office was blown up and its contents burned or scattered to the four winds in 1922. Fortunately I had made a fairly complete copy of the records some years before the book left Ballymoney, and the copy which folows this introduction may be taken, with certain abridgements which are apparent, as a correct copy of the original."--P.
