Notes: | Possibly lacking a dust-wrapper. Dedication leaf inscribed in ink "To Maeve, mo grad, /whose grace of humour and person is / the human stateliness most admired by / F.R.H. Dec. 4th 1937. Fly leaf inscribed in ink with, "Song for the Clatterbones ...To the tune of Rattle my Bones in the Corner". A holograph poem of 3 eight-line verses, signed FRHiggins. [Telling of the death of Queen Jezabel, after which her bones are played as a musical instrument, the last line being "There's music in the old bones yet." Perhaps not a poem of huge literary importance, but nevertheless of considerable interest as it shows Higgins in a totally different light, from that of the serious Literary Establishment Figure, he is usually considered. - Vendor.
