Summary: | Correspondence from Louis Le Brocquy to John Montague discussing health matters; his wife, Anne Madden’s, “quietly astounding” ceiling painting “Empyrius”, Chateau de Carros, France, 1999; and Montague’s essay “Primal Scream: The Later LeBrocquy”, (1972), 1972-2003. The file also encloses drafts of Montague’s essay “Primal Scream” and his play ‘Landslide’, a translation of ‘L’Éboulement’ by Jacques Dupin for the Dublin Theatre Festival c. 1978. Lastly, there is a typescript draft of Le Brocquy’s essay “Painting and Awareness”, (1979). Catalogues, invitations, speeches and pamphlets concerning Le Brocquy’s work.
