Summary: | Christmas card featuring the image of a banner on which is depicted the Irish Volunteers badge (designed in 1913 by Eoin MacNeill) consisting of a sunburst [An Gal Gréine], surmounted by an 8-pointed star, bearing the letters "FF" in Cló Gaelach encircled by a representation of an ancient warrior's sword belt. Ribbons of green white and orange also decorate the banner and which is printed in Cló Gaelach is "Smuainte ceannra" [which roughly translates from Irish as "Kind thoughts" in English]. Text inside card printed in black font in Cló Gaelach with verses in English. Printed on verso of card is a gold harp with the words "Éire go brat" on a ribbon around the harp. Underneath this is printed: "Published by Fergus O'Connor, Dublin". |
