Summary:London Underground (Tube) 'Transport for London' broadside poster issued as part of the 'Poems on the Underground' project [launched in 1986 by Judith Chernaik, Gerard Benson and Cicely Herbert] of Seamus Heaney's poem 'Had I not been awake', reprinted by permission of Faber from his collection 'Human Chain', published by Faber and Faber in 2010. This poster was printed and first displayed on the London Underground (LU) on June 15, 2015 as part of a year-long 150th anniversary celebration of the Irish poet W.B. Yeats. At bottom of sheet, printed underneath poem, text lists those who support the 'Poems on the Underground' project: "Mayor of London / Supported by Arts Council England / British Council / The Poetry Society / Transport for London" [printed alongside is the London Underground roundel designed by Edward Johnston and the words 'Every Journey Matters' in navy font'].
