She is depicted holding a set of keys, standing in front of a fireplace, where a pot is shown boiling. A dog and a cat rest in front of the hearth while in the background a cat sits on a bench alongside a window. Accompanied by a second sheet entitled "Inscription at Llangollen Church in memory of Mrs. Mary Carol deceased the 22nd November, 1809" which details the text on a monument in Llangollen Church erected in her memory by Lady Eleanor Butler and Miss Ponsonby. |
