Summary:Letters to Maud Gonne MacBride from IRA leader T.J. Ryan concerning assaults by the CID in Kilrush, Co. Clare. Ryan, along with George Gilmore and Brian Lowe, was shot by members of the CID in August 1932; he writes about his condition is hospital, the statements and affidavits of the injured and the witnesses, and meetings of the Kilrush Urban Council calling for a public inquiry into CID aggression against civilians. Both T.J. Ryan and George Gilmore were shot and killed in November of the same year.
