Summary:Four paged supplement with the 'Kilkenny People' newspaper celebrating the life of Charles J. Kickham, featuring a portrait of him within an oval on first page with underneath a print of the poem entitled 'Charles Kickham', composed by Rose Kavanagh of Tyrone. The first of line of the poem begins: 'Rare loyal heart, and stately head of grey, wise with the wisdom wrested out of pain!' Includes many quotations on Kickham - "Charles Kickham was the finest intellect in the Irish movement either in Ireland or America...and was the truest Irishman that ever Tipperary produced." - John Devoy (1928) and from Frank Fahy, T.D. (1928) - "Some persons talk of teaching literature through history. I maintain that they should teach histroy through literature; and if you want to know what Ireland was from the Famine to the Land League days my advice to you is 'read Kickham' ".
