| Summary: | Underneath the society's name is "Biadh an gaoidhilte faoi mheas fós i nÉireann uasal, in n-innis na rith". Highly decorated card - under a tree on the left hand side is an Irish harp, illuminated in gold. In the centre a magic lamp [from with a flame is emitted], sits on a book; both also illuminated in gold. On the right hand side is featured an ogham. Two memberships card - one issued on 17 September 1877 [to Patrick Traynor] the other on 19 September 1877 [to Benjamin Evans] for the Society for the Preservation of Irish Language; both cards are signed in ink by John Nolan, Secretary. |
