Summary:Election notice requesting support for George Noble Count Plunkett in the 1895 elections by listing his policies and ideals. Notice reads : "Fellow citizens, Having been selected by a National Convention to contest your division, I gladly accept the task imposed on me. I am in complete accord with the Independent Party. I have always held the Policy of Independence of English parties to be Ireland's only hope in the Imperial Parliament. As I do not seek a seat in Parliament as a stepping-stone to office, I will not subordinate the interests of Ireland to any other interest whatsoever. As a Catholic, I am in favour of Denominational education. I am in favour of Peasant Proprietary for Ireland, I sympathise warmly with the movement for the release of the Politcal Prisoners. I will do all in my power for the welfare for the Irish workingman and for the promotion and protection of Irish Industries. It is now our duty to wrest the St Stephen's Green Division from the Unionist and to show by our energy and enthusuasm that Dublin is solid for Home Rule. to secure this result upon which such vital issues may depend, Every Home Rule vote must be polled. Trusting in your tried fidelity to the Old Cause." Count Plunkett's committee rooms are listed as: South Dock Ward - 9 Lower Grand Canal St., Trinity - the Antient Concert Rooms, the Mansion House - 47 York Street, the Royal Exchange - 15 South Ann Street, Fitzwilliam - 72 Camden Street, Pembroke and Donnybrook - 176 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, with Central Offices at 15 South Ann Street. On verso: "Count Plunkett solicits your vote and interest as a Home Ruler, as an advocate for Denominational education, as an advocate of Peasant proprietary, as an advocate for the immediate release of all political prisoners, as a consistant advocate of the welfare of the Irish workingmen and the development and protection of industries."
