The words 'United we stand' and 'Divided we fall' are on banners on each side of the illustration; the banners are decorated with shamrocks, roses and thistles. The postcard is addressed to 'Mrs Coles, Hare & Hounds, Cruckton, Nr. Shrewsbury' - it was sent to her by her daughter.
