Amongst those who abstained from voting against conscription were: - John Dillon, Joseph Devlin, John Redmond, Richard McGhee, John J. Mooney. These men to-day ask you to elect another of their gang to the Westminster parliament. They tell you that it is by going to this parliament you can be protected. But they refused to go there this month to vote against the young men of south Armagh being conscripted. Vote for the man who won't betray you for £400 pounds a year. Vote for McCartan".
