| Summary: | Produced in Cologne, Germany, in about 1490, this beautifully illuminated miniature book is the work of an unknown artist. Each page of text is illustrated by a corresponding full-page color miniature. The text was written by Franz von Retz (ca. 1343-1427), a Dominican monk living in Vienna. The manuscript is now in the collection of the National Library of Ireland in Dublin. |
