Cotes, who had been an apprentice under William Jaggard and bought the Jaggard business upon the death of William's son, Isaac. The initial appears identical with that used by Eliots Court printers, from Bynneman's stock, obtained from Reynard Wolfe; cf. Plomer. Eliots Court Press (in The Library, ser. 4, v. 3.
