Notes:Taken from a folder originally marked as 'Electric Light' by Heaney.

'Rilke: The Apple Orchard' collected in 'District and Circle' (2006); 'Unspoiled' (with drafts alternatively titled as 'The Bond' and 'Duffy') was revised and collected as 'The Sally Rod' in 'District and Circle'. 'The Dearest Freshness' was published in 'Threepenny Review' (Winter, 2000).

Drafts of 'Dologhan' are composed on sheets which contain an incomplete draft of Heaney's introduction to 'The People of the Sea' and letters to Heaney from Aidan Matthews of RTE (dated 17/2/2000) and Maureen Morgan of the Irish Club, London (dated 17/7/2000) on the verso.
