'I should so much like to see you again and talk of Yeats - you are now the only living man (or woman) who knew him - No - one to talk ....' and enclosing a copy of The Adelphi Magazine, Second Quarter, 1954, containing her poem 'Early Light,' apparently written in memory of Yeats.

The poet Lady Dorothy Wellesley, was published by Cuala Press and a close friend of W.B. Yeats in his final years before World War Two.

"John" has not been identified - one possibility could be the painter Augustus John.

This copy of The Adelphi Magazine, Second Quarter, 1954 enclosed with this manuscript letter has in pencil on the cover "From D.W. - Pages 205-8". The journal also contains essays on "Oscar Wilde as Playwright: A Centary Review" by Alan Harris and an essay by Wilde's grandson Vyvyan Holland entitled "Once Upon a Time...A critical note on Oscar Wilde's Fairy Stories".
