The original from which this half-length is taken is 'Canvas of 1806; whole length, life size, standing, face slightly to left, wearing uniform of a major-general with ribbon and star of the Bath; holding his hat and sword. His horse, to left, is held by an Indian servant. Engraved in mezzotint by W. W. Barney, 1808.'
