Summary:Jonathan Swift (1667-1745), D.D., Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, satirist ; whole-length, to right, looking to front, in black gown, curled wig and bands, square cap in right hand, small opening in waistcoat showing white vest, receiving a document with left hand from winged boy on which is 'Q. Anne's Letters Pat: of the first fruits & 20th parts for the poor clergy of Ireland dated 17th Feb. : 10th of her Reign,' pillar and curtain to left, St. Patrick's Cathedral in background to right.

This portrait by Bindon, was painted for the Chapter of St. Patrick's in 1739, and is now in the Deanery House, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.
