Notes: | George Gavan Duffy defended several of the insurgents of the 1916 Rising, most notably Sir Roger Casement. He joined Sinn Féin and he was chosen by de Valera to negotiate the Treaty between Ireland and Britain and was the last plenipotentiary to sign the Treaty.
