Image within an oval ink frame 7 x 10.1 cm. Watermark u.l. on sheet is S I

One of 2 drawings on one sheet (see also 2122 TX (2) 4(A)). Both done by William Ousley, and judging by the careless oval surround in comparison to Cooper's carefully drawn frames, the pictures are, very probably done by Ousley. The initials W.O. inscribed l.c. on image stand for William Ousley. But the writing would appear to be that of Austin Cooper. The W. Ousley may well have been the William Ousley who was born near Dunmore, County Galway, Ireland, in 1738, and died in 1805. His nephew Jasper, lived at Bawn, County Longford, Ireland, and William may have drawn the picture while on a visit there

Title inscribed in ink l.r under corresponding image
