Notes: | From: Antiquities of Abbeys, Castles & c. & c. in Ireland, Vol. I On the page opposite (verso of 2122 TX (1) 15), inscribed in pencil probably by Austin Damer Cooper (1831-1900) are the words: The Towerof Cashel is built of [Drum?] grit stone, which must have been brought a distance of six or seven miles Title inscribed in ink l.c. on sheet under image Drawing 2122 TX (1) 16(B) to right of 2122 TX (1) 16(A) Image in oval frame 12.6 x 10.7 cm. Watermark is part of a large shield, crowned, on u.l. sheet Drawn by Austin Cooper perhaps when he was touring the country gathering money from area tax collectors, or a Paymaster to the Civil and Military Establishments. Cooper drew the castle on an extensive tour of Munster during the summer of 1781 Physical description: 1 drawing on right-hand side of sheet oval image 12 x 10.3 cm., on sheet 18.2 x 27.1 cm.
