Notes:Contains papers relating to the management of the estates such as correspondence, legal papers, financial papers etc. Also contains some personal papers such as correspondence, legal material, photographs, ephemera etc.

Joseph Cowper came to Dublin from Cumberland before 1812. He had a business in Anglesea Street and homes in Leeson street and Fitzwilliam Place. The family then lived in Trudder House, Newtownmountkennedy. They intermarried into the La Touche, Brabazon and Tottenham families amongst others including Doneraile. (Information from donor).
