‘Company’ (2001),
1996-2001.
The majority of the correspondence is from Duckworth Books to John Montague discussing ‘Company’ (2000-2001). The letters are from the editors, Thomas J. Hedley and Sarah Such concerning: the former's resignation; the literary contract; proofs; and promotional material for the launch of the memoir. The file further contains correspondence which acted as reference material for Montague in the writing of ‘Company’. These letters concern: Brenda Maddox, author of ‘George’s Ghosts: A New Life of W. B. Yeats’, discussing the Yeats family, (1996- 1999); and Arnold Rosin, who knew Montague when he lived in Paris and provided corrections to stories that had appeared in ‘The Figure in the Cave’, (2001).
