Firstly, the file concerns handwritten drafts by Montague relating to: the dedication and acknowledgement’s section of ‘Time in Armagh; and poems, such as “The Armagh Card”, “Stone”, “The Tall Strangers”, “Dirge”, “Rounds”; “Peephole”; and “Paternal Love”. Also enclosed are typescript drafts of poems comprising: “Deo Gratias”, Father Kangeroo” and “Absense”. Secondly, there is correspondence from Peter Fallon of the Gallery Press with: editorial comments and notes; discussion of the literary agreement; a proposed cover for ‘Time in Armagh’; and proofs of the publication. Lastly, the file includes pamphlets and leaflets about Armagh which were collected by Montague as reference material for ‘Time in Armagh’, c.1992.
