The papers comprise four copies of ‘Ó Riada’s Farewell’ by John Montague, 1974 accompanied by: typescript and handwritten drafts of the publication; professional correspondence from Dolmen Press (1974), Macmillan Publishing Co. (c. 1974) and RTÉ (1975); personal letters congratulating Montague on the publication; and a typescript review, undated and unsigned with annotations. The file further contains two typescript drafts of a piece of writing given the varying names of “Patriotic Suite/ Seán O’Riada and the Sixties/ That Queer Thing Genius”, c. 1966.
