Lettered with title 'Comforts of an Irish Fishing Lodge' with the publication line ''Pub by Sidebotham Sackville St. Importer and Publisher of Caricatures'. The print depicts a room in a lodge filling up with water. In the centre of the room sits two men - one, looking miserable is seated on a wooden stool, resting his feet on two stones to keep them out of the water while a beagle barks at the ducks and geese that swim in the water and fly around the room. The man (seen from behind), seated on an adjacent green coloured chair, yawns and appears unconcerned. He leans backwards to his right, looking at a clock that reads a quarter past two; his elbow rests on a table that has a mouse beside a candle while another mouse is running up the leg of the table. A small pig is under his chair. Another animal [a bat?] appears to be captured within a green glass bottle that rests on the surface of the table. In the left foreground a large pig munches on a booklet entitled 'Dancing Calendar' while another pig has a branch of a tree in its' mouth. In the background an anxious cat is stranded on a bookshelf beside some crockery. A sandbag appears to be falling from the window in the background while the fireplace is becoming submerged with water. A piece of meat and a dead rabbit hang on hooks from the ceiling.
