Description:	The file mainly relates to correspondence from Kathleen Raine to John Montague and some draft letters by Montague in return, c. 1970-1990. Topics include Raine’s poetry, drafts and promotional literature; the work of writers, artists and publishers such as, Seamus Heaney, Morris Graves and Liam Miller; and some personal matters. The correspondence also encloses photographs of Raine and Montague along with Christmas cards. The file further comprises of material that was compiled and annotated by Montague that related to Raine: reviews of her work; correspondence with doctoral researchers who were studying Raine; conferences at which she spoke; and finally a copy of a memorial booklet, “A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Kathleen Raine CBE 1908- 2003”.
