Notes: | The letter appears to be a circular. The typed address of 'Red Branch House, Lauriston Road, Wimbledon' is crossed out and replaced by Graves with 'Erinfa, Harlech, N. Wales', which was Graves's main residence after his retirement. Alfred Perceval Graves was a writer, folklorist, and schools inspector. He was a founder member in 1891 of the Irish Literary Society in London, and was involved in the formation of its offshoot the Irish Folk Song Society. He was the father of the poet, Robert Graves.
