Notes: | The letter is written from 14 Stanley Gardens, Notting Hill, on the headed paper of the Irish Texts Society, with the address of the Society crossed out. Eleanor Hull was a Celtic scholar and writer. In 1903 the philologist and celticist, John Strachan, together with Kuno Meyer, opened the School of Irish Learning at Dublin, which provided courses in Old and Middle Irish.
