Correspondence relating to Denis Delvin following his death in particular with his sister Eileen [Mrs.Brendan O’Connor] and Cara Devlin, Robert Penn Warren and Mervyn Wall. Includes as typescript of ‘Adventure’ by Devlin, ‘The Passion of Christ' by Denis Devlin, newspaper cutting of ‘An Irishman’s Diary' with a memorial to Devlin, referencing Montgomery. Also contains a copy of a letter to Samuel Beckett on behalf of Devlin’s sister Eileen requesting a few short lines on Denis for Robert Penn Warren who with Allen Tate was publishing a complete edition of his poems. A photograph of Denis Devlin ‘Souvenir of flight with Aer Lingus’ getting off the plane, 3 Aug 1959. Eileen Devlin described it as ‘the last photograph of Devlin’, in her letter on 27 Jan 1961.
