Meyer discusses the fact that Lloyd George exerted his influence in order to help Meyer return to Germany. Meyer details his life since he last wrote to Green mentioning the rail accident and his marriage. Meyer relates that he retired "from the scene when the catastrophe came in November last" referring to the German surrender. Meyer also mentions the fact that Ernst Windisch bequeathed a large collection of Irish manuscripts to the University of Leipzig originally belonging to Whitley Stokes.
