The corrupt actions and subsequent consequences include; an arrangement between the "Rodriguez brothers", Arana and a sum of £100,000 which Roberts relates to the original population of the Indians in the Putumao region; the enslavement of 112 familes by Arana; Rey de Castro's salary from the Peruvian Amazon Company for getting concessions for the company from the Peruvian Government; the charge of forgery against "Hardenburg" by Arana; and Arana and "Vega's" arrest.
