Notes: | The Irish Film Society was founded in Dublin in 1936 following on from the activities of the Dublin Little Theatre Guild. The Society showed films, held discussions, lectures and film schools. Various branches and committees grew from the original Society and it's activities became more varied. This series contains the correspondence, event, administrative, branches and committee documentation of the Irish Film Society. The original file arrangement of the Society has been maintained.
