Letter from Roger Casement to Alice Stopford Green describing his tour of America gaining support and funding for the Irish Volunteers,
1914 June 20.
Casement writes that the Irish Americans are against John Redmond. He mentions Green's correspondence with John Devoy and warns her of the spy system and against speaking to Dr. Mark Ryan of anything confidential. He writes that the Irish are very popular in America at present after the Panama fight. McGarrity wants him to go on a lecture tour as he feels Casement could unite the Irish Americans "as if I were another Parnell".
