Letter from Roger Casement to Alice Stopford Green regarding his efforts to deal with the cancellation of the public greeting of the steamer 'Rhaetia' in Cobh,
1914 Jan. 14.
Casement writes that he knows who has been at work on the cancellation but it is not wise to name them. He will still go to Cork but only to try to keep the peace as the owners of the 'Rhaetia' have warned that if there is any fuss they will "give up on the call altogether". He also mentions F.J. Bigger's lack of organisation for his presentation.
