Casement Papers.

Casement Papers, ca. 1893-1916; Mainly correspondence between Roger Casement and William Cadbury, discussing various issues such as the ‘Congo Question’ and the political situation there, the Congo Reform Association and [Edmund Dene] Morel and other political matters in Ireland such as the ‘Carson Campaign’ in Ulster against Home Rule in 1913. There are also letters from Alice Stopford Green to William Cadbury about difficulties in Ireland. Also included are notebooks belonging to Roger Casement containing his poems, his address book and a notebook titled ‘Irish Brigade’ by Roger Casement dealing with the Irish Brigade for the German Army that he tried to form.
