Anti-Treaty propaganda handbill: 'Strange – isn’t it?',
[1922-1923?].
The text mocks the Free State's claims of numerical superiority when it suits it: 'Strange – isn’t it? If it be the case that only 5 per cent of the people are Republicans and that only 5 per cent of the I.R.A. remained loyal to the Republic how is it that in the Official Reports issued by the Free Staters the "National Forces" are always outnumbered by ten to one'.
