Letter from "Seumas" [James Larkin] to his "dear girl" [Elizabeth Larkin] expressing concerns over money he has sent to her and to Thomas Foran,

1916 December.

Larkin writes "I cannot understand TF [Thomas Foran] and the Boys do they think I was laying down on the job if My advice had been followed there would have been another result advantage was taken of my position and difficulties of this [...] I am sorry I let you return I did not think TF and the rest of the boys would forget so easily what we achieved together" [sic]. He also enquires after his family, namely his sons Jim [James Jnr.] and Fintan, and asks for correspondence and photographs.
