Copy of letter from James Connolly to the Secretary of the Dublin United Trades and Labour Council, seeking money received from England to assist in the payment of strike pay by the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union ,
[1915].
In seeking the "money lately received from England in connection with the 1913-14 lock-out", Connolly writes that the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union has paid £40 per month, £400 in 10 months, for legal expenses during the lock-out. He states that as the "men now and have been the backbone of the Union...it would be shameful if they were left in the lurch now".
