Letter from Thomas Foran, president of the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union, to William O'Brien, treasurer, enclosing correspondence between Foran and Patrick Ennis of New York concerning James Larkin's trial and a charge of larceny brought against him by Simon Punche,
1920 May 6.
Foran asks O'Brien to write up Larkin's earlier trial in Ireland for publication in the 'Watchword of Labour'. In his telegram to Ennis, he claims the British Government have refused to allow Larkin's return to Ireland, that Punche's charge is a "frame-up" and that the public are "satisfied entirely" that Larkin is innocent of any charge.
