Letter from James Pearse to Margaret Brady regarding plans to come to her home and meet her parents,

undated.

Pearse is not impressed with a condition Margaret has placed upon them that "is hard to comply with" and writes "I cannot for the life of see what difference a few weeks could make. Your parents know who I am and consequently who you are with ... meet me tomorrow evening at a little after seven when we will go to some place and I will go home with you, tell your parents where you are going and to save their scolding for me. Of course it will be too late for me to stay but you must not mind that." Pearse adds a postscript "depend upon it they will not think as much of me at your house as you do, you know you are [...] to see with your heart whilst they see with their eyes".
